Tragedy

Chapter 1(Angel’s POV)

Erasers were here, attacking us, again. An eraser swooped me up.

“Max!” I shouted. Max went after me. A gunshot rang out and Max fell to her knees. She looked astonished, her eyes were wide and her mouth was shaped as an o. Her shirt was getting dark red with blood.

“MAX!” Fang howled out with rage and started for the eraser that had shot her. That eraser also happened to be the one that was holding me. The eraser fell to the ground, dead. The rest of the erasers retreated. Fang kneeled down next to Max, who had fallen to the ground. Iggy came and his fingers hovered over the bullet wound in her shoulder.

“The bullet just grazed her shoulder, so it’s not stuck in her shoulder, but I don’t know if she’s going to make it.” Iggy said.

“WHAT! SHE HAS TO LIVE!” Fang yelled at him. Iggy met his gaze squarely. I burst into sobs as Fang sat down and pulled Max into his lap.

“Oh, Max.” Fang whispered.

Chapter 2 (Max’s POV)

Enough with the freaking black already! Wait, I can hear something. It sounded like Fang.

“Oh, Max.” He whispered. I tried to move, but pain shot through my body.

“Unnnnggghhhhh.” I heard a low horrible moan, then realized it had come from me. I tried to move again, but the pain was too hard to bear. I slightly shifted to my side, then screamed in pain. I whimpered, wait, I never whimper.

Chapter 3 (Fang’s POV)

Max moaned and looked like she tried to move. She shifted to her side and screamed. She whimpered. I pulled her closer. Her head flopped against my chest. I picked her up and we flew to a hospital as fast as we could. They hooked many tubes up and put her on an IV drip. I sighed and we stayed in her hospital room. I woke up to a continuous beeping. I looked at Max’s heart monitor. It had a flat line. Everything happened so fast. They tried everything. They pumped on her chest, they used the paddles, they gave her CPR, but nothing worked. Angel broke down in heaving sobs.

“Please, Max, please don’t leave me.” I pleaded to her unmoving body.

“Fang, don’t let go.” The quiet whisper made my gaze shoot towards her body. There were small bumps on the heart monitor. I sighed in relief.
