Chapter 1(Emmet’s POV)
I ran down the field towards the touchdown, dodging this way and that. Finally, at the last second, I made a touchdown. Everyone screamed and ran onto the field, lifting me up.
I was Emmet Swan, and I went to ECA which stood for East Coast Academy. I was the star player on the football team.
Suddenly, I saw a brown haired girl that looked surprisingly like my sister Bella. She was leaning up against the bleachers and someone with weird bronze hair was talking to her. Edward Cullen. He was my best friend, but he had a habit of playing girls. She looked mad. She slapped him and stomped away, arm in arm with my biggest crush ever, Rosalie Hale.
Rose was beautiful. She had bright blonde hair that was beautiful and luscious. Her eyes were the deepest blue. She had a twin, Jasper Hale. He was also my best friend.
I laughed and went to shower, ignoring Edward. I knew he had tried to get my sister in bed with him.
Bella had long brown hair and brown eyes. I hadn’t seen her since we were 6. She was my fraternal twin. She was a clumsy girl and wasn’t usually popular. I was surprised that she was hanging out with Rosalie Hale. I left after I showered, pulling my black duffel bag over my shoulder and running towards the parking lot. There was a dark blue Camero with a white racing stripe. That was Bella’s car, her sixteenth birthday present from our parents.
“Hey Em! We got a new roommate!” I saw Alice exclaim, her eyes lighting up. I urged her to take me to her and we got to her dorm just as I heard Edward’s cocky voice come from inside.
“We’re alone now babe.” He said and I heard him moving. I heard a huffing sound.
“I don’t know you! I don’t want to know you!” I heard a bell like voice exclaim. Bella!
“You can’t lie, babe. You want me.” Edward said just as Alice opened the door. Edward was pressing Bella up against the wall.
“Hey, Edward! Get off of her!” Alice wailed, jumping on his back and pulling at his ‘perfect’ hair. He struggled with her and she jumped off of him.
“Emmet? EMMET!” Bella screamed and leaped into my waiting embrace. I was finally back with my sister.
Chapter 2(Edward’s POV)
Emmet knew this angel? He knew this brown haired beauty? I would have to get him to help me hook up with her. Emmet and I left. The beauty that I knew as Bella glared at me as I left.
“Dude, you have to hook me up with her!” I exclaimed as we got into the elevator.
“No, that’s not a good idea.” He answered. He just wanted her for himself. I smirked at him.
“We can share, man.” I offered, turning around. When I turned back around, Emmet was gagging.
“THAT IS MY FREAKING SISTER!” He shouted, slamming his fist into my nose. I staggered back into the elevator wall.
“Dude! What the hell!” I shouted, clutching my probably broken nose. Emmet’s glare bore holes in my head.
“Bella’s a nice girl and I’m not going to let you ruin her.” He growled. The elevator dinged and he stomped out. I sighed and walked to my dorm.
-Next day-
I stepped into Psychology class and was pleased to see that Bella had taken the seat next to mine. I sat down.
“Hey.” I said. She ignored me and continued to read her book, but I could see her eyebrows furrow as if she were glaring at me. “I want to apologize for my behavior yesterday. Emmet had a little talk with me and I’m sorry. I realize that I was a giant doodoo head.” I said, succeeding in getting a giggle out of her.
“Doodoo head?” She asked, finally looking up from her book. I nodded, looking completely serious. She let out a laugh, then blushed as she caught me staring at her.
“I like girls who blush.” I whispered huskily. She huffed and glared at me.
“You’re being a doodoo head again.” She said angrily. My expression turned sheepish.
“I’m sorry. It’s a habit.” I said, looking sad. She rolled her eyes and focused on her work.
When he let us out, she walked out without even looking at me. For some reason, that made me mad at myself.
“Hey, wait up!” I called, hurrying after her. She walked even faster. I jogged to catch up and just as I got to her, she tripped on nothing. I wrapped my arms around her as a first reaction as she squeaked and gripped my arm. “You okay?” I asked in concern.
“Yeah, I trip a lot. Thanks though.” She replied and bent down to pick up her stuff.
“Can we make a deal?” I asked suddenly. She looked over at me as we walked towards the gym.
“What kind of deal?” She asked suspiciously.
“I’ll stop being a doodoo head if you be more careful.” I said. I’m not really sure where that came from, but it was a good deal and I wanted to change for Bella.
“Ok, that’s a good deal. Deal!” She chirped. I smiled as we went our separate ways to change.
“Edward, what were you doing with Bella?” Jasper asked me. I sighed. Surely Emmet hadn’t gotten him in on it too.
“We’re friends. I promise.” I said, holding my hands up. He sighed and nodded.
“Ok, but I’ll be watching.” He said, narrowing his eyes at me playfully. I nodded.
“I guess I deserve that.” I replied, shrugging. I changed into my gym clothes and Jasper and I walked out together. Bella looked extremely lost and confused as people swarmed around her to the bleachers. We walked up to her and the relief was evident in her gaze. We all sat down next to each other.
“Run up bleacher stairs.” The coach barked. We all groaned and complied. As we got to the top, Bella tripped and went tumbling down. She curled into a ball, protecting her neck and head and landed on the floor. I heard a sickening crack that seemed to echo through my head. I sprinted down to the floor, taking three steps at a time.
“Bella!” I shouted, skidding to a stop beside her unmoving form. Her leg was bent at a very weird angle. “Get Emmet!” I yelled to the coach.
“Mr. Cullen…” he started.
“GET EMMET!” I roared. He ordered Mike Newton to run and get Emmet as I crouched down next to Bella. I pulled my shirt off, ignoring all of the swooning girls, and pressed it gently to the back of her bleeding head. She whimpered and I winced.
“I’m sorry Bells, I have to.” I said softly and applied a little more pressure. She bit her lip to keep from screaming, but a little squeak made it out of her mouth. “I’m sorry!” I exclaimed.
“BELLA!” Emmet shouted, sprinting towards us. He slid to a stop and kneeled down next to her. “Thanks for helping, Edward.” He said to me. I nodded. Suddenly, the paramedics came rushing in. I was pushed aside. I stood in between Jasper and Emmet and watched remorsefully as they took Bella away on a stretcher.
